July 2023 Newsletter

Greetings, CTU Members and Friends –

Our July theme is equity, the first monthly theme chosen from our new Principle Statement. What does the value of equity mean, and how do we as a community practice it, cultivate it and bring it forward into a living principle?.

Gratitude to Ana and Christine for prototyping the digitising of our archives. See below for more information about this important work. And save the date for a digitising party on Sunday, 27 August, at 12 pm.

See below for all the great activities happening in our community this July.

With love and light,
Nima

COMMUNITY UPDATES

Archive Digitising Project
Gratitude to Ana and Christine for prototyping the digitising of our archives. Did you know that in April of 1964, CTU's Rev. Victor Carpenter wrote letters of protest against the 90-day detention clause, as part of his active involvement in the anti-Apartheid movement?  Thanks to new technology, anyone can help us digitise these important pieces of history. Save the date for a digitising party on Sunday 27 August at 12 pm.

Have questions or comments for Council? Please email us at community@capetownunitarians.org.
